What you can ask for
- Application forms in an alternative format, such as large print, easy read or audio
- Extra time for written tests or assessment centre exercises
- A British Sign Language interpreter or a communication support worker
- Interview questions in advance, or a written alternative to a verbal interview
- A step-free venue, or the option of a video or phone interview
How to ask
Most application forms include a question about adjustments needed for the recruitment process. If not, contact the recruitment team named in the advert directly and as early as you can.
Checklist
- Check the job advert or application form for how to request adjustments
- Ask as soon as you are invited to interview, not on the day
- Confirm arrangements in writing before the interview date
