Automated review architecture (placeholders)

  • Scheduled source checks: a daily job would fetch each trusted source URL (GOV.UK, NHS, NICE, EHRC, Acas, legislation.gov.uk) and store a content fingerprint.
  • Change alerts: when a fingerprint changes, the linked articles are flagged for an editor. Readers see a “possibly out of date” notice, not a silent edit.
  • Manual approval gate: no draft, suggestion or automated diff can publish itself. A named editor must approve, and legal or benefits changes need two.
  • Audit log: every check, flag, edit, approval and rollback is recorded with a timestamp, actor, version number and source reference.
  • Versioning: previous versions are retained so guidance can be compared and restored rather than overwritten.
