Demonstration content. Moving from a school with a young carers lead to a college with no obvious equivalent was harder than I expected, and I had to ask around before finding the right person to speak to.

Once I found the student support team, they were able to adjust some deadlines around my mum's hospital appointments.

Provision for young adult carers varies a lot between colleges, so it's worth asking early rather than assuming support will be offered automatically.
